PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - March 25, 2015 - PRLog -- The Palm Beach Pops Hosts Reception for Major Supporters Following Triumphant Season Finale at the Kravis Center

(Palm Beach Gardens, FL - March 25, 2014) The Palm Beach Pops, South Florida’s most loved pops orchestra, held a VIP reception for approximately 50 loyal patrons and supporters following a triumphant season finale: One Singular Sensation: A Tribute to the Music of Marvin Hamlisch, featuring Broadway stars Donna McKechnie, Jodi Benson and Doug LaBrecque.

Co-sponsored by Kim & Sal Tiano and Adele Siegel, the audience-pleasing concert also included performances by Cara Young and the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, plus the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Youth Touring Company.

Just one month after being recognized for his work on the Grammy Award-winning album “Cheek to Cheek” with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, Palm Beach Pops Music Director and Principal Conductor Lee Musiker personally thanked everyone for attending the final Pops appearance of the 2014-15 season. The March 8 concert and reception at the Kravis Center capped off the Palm Beach Pops’ 23rd year of providing world-class concerts and top quality music education in Palm Beach County.

At the post-concert reception, Jon Lappin, President of the Palm Beach Pops, paid special tribute to Ms. Siegel, who was celebrating her 91st birthday.

"For the final concert of our comeback season, I particularly appreciated the performance of Cara Young from the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, who joined Donna McKechnie and Jodi Benson for a rousing rendition of ‘At The Ballet,’” said Lappin. “The involvement of these young aspiring theater and music students in our concerts is what sets the Palm Beach Pops apart and helps to make us unique. In fact, we’ve involved youth groups and young soloists in every performance this season, keeping our commitment and promise to adhere to our mission.”
