DENVER - March 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Ability Connection Colorado honors the mothers of children with special needs and all moms at Mother’s Tea,Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Westin Denver Downtown. Guests will enjoy a champagne reception, complimentary portraits, luncheon, and a mother and child fashion show, in addition to a presentation by The Chocolate Therapist, Julie Pech.  Seats are $50 per adult and $25 per child and are available now at abilityconnectioncolorado.org.

"I call it the perfect storm,” says Pech, a daily chocolate consumer herself.  “Chocolate is growing in popularity as people discover its health benefits, most people would like to keep their consumption in check, and there’s been a dramatic shift towards eating more natural foods.” She believes eating a little chocolate every day helps people stay on a healthy eating program because they do not feel deprived.

This event offers a day of fellowship and relaxation for mothers of children with special needs. When you “Sponsor a Mom” to attend with a $100 contribution, your gift covers her attendance and appropriate childcare while she is at the event. In addition, event proceeds fund ACCO’s parent-driven Family Support Programs, which touched over 36,000 lives last year.

Community nominations are now open for Pamper Packages – six (6) nominated Mothers whose children have special needs will receive certificates for spa treatments, hotel stays and more.  The awarding of these gifts and hearing the stories that inspired them are the highlight of Mother’s Tea.  Visit www.abilityconnectioncolorado.org/special-events/mothers-tea/ to nominate or Sponsor a Mom.
