Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. To Support Causes

March 25, 2015 - PRLog -- In March 2015, a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis for one of its own threw organizatoin staff into immediate action to find a way to support the family.  A tee shirt sale was created using Booster, which raised $650.  During that time, many individuals voiced their need for support of other illnesses.  Always remaining true to the mission of the orgnaizatoin - "to support law enforcement officers and their families" - the Board of Directors answered that called.

Beginning with ths MS fundraiser, 10% of dollars raised will be moved to the WBTB scholarship fund.  $250 from those sales will be given to the family in which it was originally intended.  The remaining funds will be used to serve as an emergency fund for other cause fundraisers that may not raise the needed amount.  An application will soon be added to the WBTB website where law enforcement families in need can submit a request for funds to assist with their expenses related to an illness or disease.   For every $500 raise, $250 will be donated.  For example, if $1,000 is raised, three donations will be made to three separate families in the amount of $250 each.
