BSAO was the first agency in South Lee County to offer the most complete Choice Food Pantry, allowing families and individuals do their own grocery selection according to their needs, eating habits and health conditions. The pantry provides canned food, fresh produce, dairy, baked items, frozen meats, and toiletries and diapers. BSAO also partners with United Way of Lee County and Harry Chapin Food Bank to organize monthly food distributions via mobile pantries during the summer months. The goal is to foster independence and self-reliance through education and by bridging the financial needs of the recipients.
