Upcoming EU Data Protection Regulations Explained at Biobanking 2015

LONDON - March 25, 2015 - PRLog -- With patient privacy and compliance being top of the agenda and new EU regulations in the pipeline, a change in data protection laws is one of the most important challenges facing the biomedical research community. New policies relating to the translational exchange of data and patient samples, the correlation of information, along with a code of practice for secondary use of human data, all place ethical dilemmas and new expectations on medical researchers and biobanks to implement robust strategies to protect future drug development from the impact of new laws.
