MIAMI Institute Launches Private Art Collection and Art Event Series

Series Opens with One Man Show featuring Alejandro Vigilante

MIAMI - March 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Miami, Florida – The MIAMI Institute for Age Management and Intervention, a leader in medical aesthetics and wellness medicine for over a decade, has launched MIPAC, the MIAMI Institute Private Art Collection, the only space of art in Miami’s fashionable financial district on Brickell Avenue. The Institute’s corporate offices on the 15th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel and Tower have been transformed into a place alive with art, showcasing the works of contemporary artists from around the world and offering unique access to a collection more than a decade in the making to select patients, collectors, and purveyors. MIPAC is a space of art, quite different from a gallery, allowing individuals a uniquely personal experience amongst the works, but also granting exclusive access to the artists themselves or the opportunity to have hand‐selected works delivered and installed. Currently, MIPAC is the only place in Miami showing Austrian artists and will soon host the works of Middle Eastern artist rarely, if ever, seen outside of their home countries. MIPAC is the idea of Institute co‐founders Dr. Julio F. Gallo and CEO Stephen Watson. Dr. Gallo has been collecting art for more than 15 years and has invited his personal art curator, Alicia Gorbato, to lead MIPAC as its director. MIPAC has created an event series where, by invitation only, art lovers and collectors will have a night of exclusive access to the works of a select artist or group. The monthly series kicks off Thursday, March 26 from 6‐9pm with a one man show featuring the work of pop‐artist Alejandro Vigilante.

Alejandro Vigilante

Argentinian‐born, Miami‐based artist who is currently developing a new strain of neopop art, loosely titled “ipop” or sometimes referred to as “IArt,” merging social media and iconic figures in a dance of color and conversation. Vigilante’s work is collected by noted Miami philanthropists Patricia and Philip Frost, Miami’s esteemed Estefan family and a growing list of professional sports and Hollywood celebrities including Michael Jordan, Lady Gaga and Halle Berry. He has had exhibitions at the Avant Gallery in New York, Aventura and Miami Beach in each of the last five years and is a favorite at the Alfredo Ginocchio Gallery in Mexico. Vigilante’s work can also be seen at Museo Borges and Museo Silvori in Argentina.

The MIAMI Institute for Age Management and Intervention has been practicing "beautiful medicine" for the past 10 years, recognizing the beauty of the human body, mind and spirit and elevating that beauty through the best in medical aesthetics and anti‐aging medicine. Beauty is the common bond between the MIAMI Institute and MIPAC. This space of art celebrates beauty in all of its forms and plants seeds of love for art that blossoms uniquely in each person touched.
