Follow on Google News | Lost Foundries introduces line of industrial style lightingTaking inspiration from early machine age design with a blend of rustic and refined elements, Lost Foundries reveals their new line of lighting fixtures.
By: Lost Foundries After years of building with pipes to create everything from desks to coffee tables and pot racks to curtain rods, the designers of Lost Foundries wanted to create an industrial lighting fixture to fit their home. After much experimentation, they developed several new designs. “I've always loved working with pipe because of its rugged versatility.” Each fixture is meticulously hand crafted. All the materials used have been carefully curated to complement the pipe and only high quality components were chosen. By using pipe flanges as mounts for their fixtures, the industrial appeal of the design is continued throughout. Their product line at launch includes Humphry, the original inspiration which features five lamp sockets. Thomson, an adjustable length chandelier, uses an innovative design which allows the cord to be wrapped around the black iron pipe. Wilbur, an industrial sconce that is smaller version of Thomson, is well suited for a bathroom or hallway. The cross chandelier, Gramme. rounds out the initial black pipe offerings. The recent reemergence of brass into modern design inspired the incorporation of brass pipe into the product line. Swan was developed to add a feminine element to a more traditionally masculine design piece, creating a new level of appeal. Designers seeking distinctive high end home furnishings or innovative large scale bar and restaurant lighting installations, will find an array of products that can be customized for their spaces.
