NEW YORK - March 24, 2015 - PRLog -- 1) For weeks the War Department had been receiving tips about assassination plots against government officials, and even though Lincoln requested additional protection on April 14th, none was provided, and he was left defenseless against one man armed with only a one-shot derringer.

2) John Wilkes Booth was an agent connected to Colonel John Mosby’s Confederate underground in Maryland, and also reported to the head of the Confederate Secret Services in Canada. Mosby’s plot to kidnap Lincoln had been penetrated by numerous double agents and was well-known to the War Department, yet no attempt was ever made to arrest Booth or anyone else involved in the conspiracy.

3) Immediately after the assassination, the heads of the Radical Republican cabal running Congress held a private meeting in which they described the president’s assassination as a “godsend.”

4) Booth was discovered locked inside a tobacco barn and surrounded by 25 soldiers, but could not be taken alive. The official story of who shot him changed three times and the final version is not credible. Booth was likely executed much in the same way as Lee Harvey Oswald (for the purpose of shielding his true handlers).

5) Booth wrote a letter to the newspapers explaining his actions, but this letter was destroyed. Realizing the War Department had censored his letter, Booth explained his actions in his diary, but when his diary was finally unveiled years later, most of the pages had been snipped out.

6) Lincoln had been having premonitions of his impending death, and shared these feelings with many around him, yet no efforts were made to increase protection to reassure the president.

7) The trial of the conspirators was a kangaroo court and the military judges all minor figures with zero legal expertise. Most witnesses were later found to have been bribed and coached for their fraudulent testimony.

8) After Charles Dunham was unmasked as the man who’d bribed and coached the witnesses for the kangaroo court, he was mysteriously allowed to travel to New York City accompanied by a sergeant-of-arms from Congress by his side, a guard he easily eluded once inside the city, thus escaping all punishment for his crimes.

9) The original confession of George Atzerodt was suppressed and ordered destroyed, likely because it mentioned some War Department double agents inside Booth’s conspiracy, as well as the existence of a supporting element from New York City.

10) Even today, a dogma patrol refuses to allow any discussion of the massive evidence pointing toward an inside job, and instead faithfully follows the official cover-story Booth was an insane maniac and not a Confederate spy aided and abetted by powerful forces inside Washington.
