Vaginal Mesh Helpline Launches Birth Defects Zofran Helpline

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - March 20, 2015 - PRLog -- The Vaginal Mesh Helpline, which is well known for its work in helping women injured by vaginal mesh products locate  doctors for mesh removal and vaginal mesh lawyers,  has expanded their mission to help women injured by various drugs and devices. The drug Zofran has caught their attention. According to the medical social worker who runs the helplines, "Zofran was originally approved by the FDA for the nausea and dizziness side effects of chemotherapy for cancer patients. It has been prescribed, off label, to pregnant women for morning sickness resulting in life altering birth defects to new born infants."

Many of the vaginal mesh clients have been contacting the helpline for information about Zofran. Zofran birth defects include: Cleft palate, cleft lip and damage to the heart. The helpline has launched a Zofran- Birth Defects Helpline and is reaching out to all women who have been prescribed Zofran during the first trimester of pregnancy. This is the time when the  formation of these organs  is crucial. Women who used the drug during the first trimester of  pregnancy may give birth to babies with birth defects, including cleft palates and lips, club feet, heart defects and craniosynostosis. The Vaginal Mesh Helpline has already launched the Zofran Birth Defects Helpline and calls are coming in on a daily basis both for vaginal mesh and Zofran.
