FREE Scholarship Program Benefits All K-12 Students and the Entire Community, Too

WOODHAVEN, Mich. - March 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Our Community Exchange is a no-risk, easy-to-implement web- and community-based program launching in Michigan, designed to support education in a variety of ways and benefit parents and students, the local economy, school districts, and participating colleges and universities, financially and otherwise.

In its simplest form, a Community Exchange is a free website, hosted by a school district.  Each year a district hosts, all students kindergarten through 12th grade are given “points” (money) toward a scholarship to partnering colleges or universities.  Parents accrue additional points each year by patronizing businesses advertising on an Exchange website (no point cost to the businesses) and by optionally participating in family-oriented corporate programs. When businesses pay to advertise (low, yearly fee), 26% of their payment goes immediately to the hosting school district, 45.5% goes immediately into a scholarship trust fund, to help participating colleges and universities offset the significant cost of providing a free scholarship for every student.

“When I tell parents about a free scholarship for their child and money going to their local schools, they say, ‘ Sign me up!’ said Michael Dana, CEO of Our Community Exchange.  “Businesses want to come on board as soon as possible, too.  They can see that all parts of a Community Exchange give a little, get a lot:”

Colleges and Universities that participate give to all students free, valuable scholarships (discounts in tuition), each worth as much as $15,000-$20,000.   Colleges and Universities get more students, therefore more revenue; get free promotion; and gethelp offsetting the significant cost of providing a scholarship for every student.  Baker College, Spring Arbor University, and Cleary University are currently part of the Michigan scholarship program, with intent to add two or three more before the end of the year.  Eventually, the scholarship program will be nationwide, with 150 schools participating.

School Districts givetheir agreement to host a free Our Community Exchange website.  School Districts getscholarships for each of their students; getas much as $50,000-$130,000 each year, immediately deposited in their PayPal account per ad that goes up; and they also get a portion of some corporate partner revenues.

Businesses givesome money to advertise on a Community Exchange website (low, yearly fee.)  Businesses get the satisfaction of knowing they are community supporters, as a full 71% of their ad cost goes immediately to education (local school district or scholarship trust fund); get completely self-modifiable ads; and getparents shopping at their stores in order to accrue more scholarship points.

Families and Students give their patronage to Exchange advertisers in order to accrue free additional scholarship points.  Families and students get free, valuable scholarships; get to take advantage of specials and discounts from advertisers; get even more advantages on website.

Our Community Exchange provides a nearly effortless way to augment school districts’ general funds and bless students with scholarships, while increasing market share for participating corporations and local businesses and boosting qualified enrollment for the colleges and universities signed on to be part of the program.
