HOUSTON - March 19, 2015 - PRLog -- When the Allstar Nation Tour (http://www.allstarnationtour.com/) visits Oklahoma schools for the first time next week, it will feature singers from X-Factor, The Voice, and Ardmore resident Lauren Carnahan (http://www.laurencarnahan.com/).

The Allstar Nation Tour (https://www.facebook.com/#!/allstarnationtour) is the nation’s premiere anti-bullying (http://www.allstarnationtour.com/) school concert tour that features emerging recording artists who perform and speak out against bullying at middle and high schools across the country. The highly-engaging concert assembly is a free supplemental anti-bullying program (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lq4UTluZls). Artists perform Top 40 and original music to connect with students. Between songs, they speak out against bullying, share personal experiences, and discuss prevention methods.

Scheduled to perform in Oklahoma is Ardmore resident and “Best New Teen Artist of the Year” Lauren Carnahan (http://www.laurencarnahan.com/). The 18-year-old graduate of Plainview High School is a pop singer, songwriter, and musician. She was named Indie Music Channel’s 2014 “Best New Teen Artist of the Year” and recently released her debut EP titled “Out of Nowhere (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyPNVZHnt2k)” featuring six original singles that are available on iTunes.

Carnahan will be joined by Top 6 X-Factor USA finalist and fan favorite Drew Ryniewicz (http://www.drewofficial.com/) of Chino Valley, Ariz. In 2011, Ryniewicz attracted millions of fans as a Top 6 finalist in season one of X-Factor with her soulful rendition of songs like Justin Bieber’s Baby, Flashdance (Oh What A Feeling), and many others. She regularly led fan voting and downloads of her performances sold on average three times more than other contestants. Though ultimately placing sixth, millions of fans continue to follow her on social media.

Also performing are New Caney, Texas native Branden Mendoza (http://www.myonlyescape.com/), 21, competed on The Voice season six and is known by stage name “My Only Escape (http://www.myonlyescapeofficial.com/)”; classic rock inspired “The House On Cliff” (http://www.thehouseoncliff.com/) of Boston, who recently released a four-song EP and is about to embark on a 23-city tour starting in San Diego April 18; Indie rocker Danielle Prou (http://www.danielleprou.com/),15, of Los Angeles, and Tyme Records pop artist Omar Alhindi (http://www.omaralhindimusic.com/), 17, of Fresno, Calif., who recently released a self-titled four-song EP.

Statewide incident counts (http://www.ok.gov/sde/sites/ok.gov.sde/files/documents/files/Statewide%20Incident%20Counts%20for%20School%20Year%202012-2013.pdf) for school year 2012-2013 show there were 31 total suicide attempts and 11 suicide completions.

Bullying (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jnkJfUfr6Y) affects nearly one in three schoolchildren in America grades six through 10. It’s a major factor in teen suicide and school shootings. In fact, suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, according to the CDC. Nearly 70 percent of students think schools respond poorly to bullying.

The Houston-based Allstar Nation Tour has exploded in popularity having performed about 100 assemblies for more than 75,000 students and faculty at more than 50 schools in Michigan, Texas, Wisconsin, and Florida since its debut in August 2014. It is also the only anti-bullying concert tour to unite talent from American Idol, The Voice, and X-Factor.
