Centennial Real Estate Adds Three Professionals to Support Its Expanding Retail Portfolio

DALLAS - March 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Centennial Real Estate Company (http://www.centennialrec.com/), a real estate firm specializing in the investment, development and management of retail properties, recently hiredNick Bendorf as assistant vice president on the acquisitions team, Renee Tims as senior property manager and Regina Weaver as property controller. The new employees will all be based in Centennial’s Dallas, Texas, headquarters.

Prior to joining Centennial, Bendorf served as an associate at Hudson Advisors, the real estate arm of Lone Star Funds. At Hudson, he was responsible for the asset management of over 3.2 million square feet of retail space with a market value of over $400 million. His transactional experience at Hudson included acquiring over $300 million in assets and selling over $90 million. Bendorf also was responsible for supporting the management and coordination of a $1.8 billion multifamily portfolio. In that capacity, he helped establish the value-add strategy for renovating over 18,000 apartment units across the country, as well as developed and maintained the portfolio’s financial model. His previous experience includes roles at a publicly traded REIT, Digital Realty Trust (DLR) and a commercial appraisal firm, Integra.

Bendorf holds a master’s degree in real estate and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University and is a member of The Real Estate Council.

Renee Tims, senior property manager, brings an extensive background in managing retail properties. She managed a portfolio of over a million square feet of shopping centers in Texas for The Westwood Financial Company. Prior to Westwood, she managed a large shopping center portfolio for institutional investors. Tims began her career with the Trammell Crow Company managing prominent suburban office towers along with retail shopping centers.

Graduating from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in business, she went on to earn her CPM designation from Institute of Real Estate Managers (IREM) in 1994 and her RPA from Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) in 1995.  Renee served on the IREM board for two years and on several committees for both IREM and BOMA.

Regina Weaver, property controller, was previously an asset and accounting manager for CDK Realty Advisors focused on real estate investment portfolios for the company’s pension fund clients.  The portfolios had a total invested equity value in excess of $650M and were comprised of various asset classes and investment types.  She began her real estate career with Southmark Commercial in 1987 before joining L&B Realty Advisors in 1988 in the property reporting department. Weaver eventually supervised the department, which encompassed a staff of 10 and approximately 60 assets.
