Detroit Businessman Rod Rickman Receives Industry Leader Award for Commitment to Youth Mentoring

DETROIT - March 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Roderick Rickman, Chairman and CEO of Rickman Enterprise Group, was presented the ‘Industry Leader Award’ by Results Mentoring at its fifth annual Partnership Gala, held at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

Rickman was recognized for his many years of serving as a mentor to scores of young people in metropolitan Detroit, including youth within the Results Mentoring program.

“Mentoring our youth is essential for developing the next generation of leaders,” said Rickman. “Having served as a mentor to a lot of young people for nearly my entire adult life, I am humbled to be recognized by Results Mentoring and appreciate all that they do to make a positive difference in the world.”

Throughout the evening, hundreds were in attendance to watch other Detroit-area business executives receive awards for their mentoring success: Tyrone Davenport, Chief Operating Officer, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History; Dr. Bertram Marks, Chairman of Litigation Associates LLC; Jerry Norcia, President and Chief Operating Officer, DTE Electric and Gas Storage and Pipelines; and, Juliette Thorpe Okotie-Eboh, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, MGM Grand Detroit.

Results Mentoring has been mentoring and tutoring youth since 2000.
