Dana Leong Trio performs at Freedom Hall March 27

CHICAGO - March 18, 2015 - PRLog -- The Dana Leong Trio will be performing at Freedom Hall on Friday, March 27 at 7:30.Dana is often referred to as a high definition “Yo-Yo Ma”. His musical style has gained critical acclaim around the world. Dana Leong blends jazz, classical and pop to create an exhilarating sound! Dana has several albums and performed and produced for renowned artists such as Ray Charles, Barry White, Kanye West, Wynton Marsalis, Bjork, Yoko Ono, and many others.

Leong owns his own recording studio in New York. A musical prodigy since the age of 3, Leong’s resume includes backing musicians such as Whitney Houston and Earth Wind & Fire, as well as others.

The Dana Leong Trio, featuring Dana (cello, synthesizers, vocals), Lex Sadler (bass, electronics) and Val-Inc (turntables), is the latest incarnation of Leong’s ever-expansive compositions, bringing together an exciting blend of instrumental melodies and driving musical grooves. The trio was a featured act at the Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York City, the Sleepless Night Miami Beach Festival as well as their recent SOLD OUT concert headlining the Vladivostok International Jazz Festival in the Primorye Philharmonic Hall.
