30 Trees Being Planted at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force to Honor Veterans

POOLER, Ga. - March 18, 2015 - PRLog -- It isn’t taking the luck of the Irish to bring some green to the grounds of the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. The Savannah Tree Foundation, along with a team of volunteers, is coming together to plant 30 trees at the museum in honor of our Veterans.

A group of students from the University of Illinois, along with community members and supporters of both the Savannah Tree Foundation and the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, will get together Tuesday, March 24 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, to do the planting and everyone else is welcome to help out, too.

The planting is made possible in part by a Georgia ReLeaf Grant from the Georgia Urban Forest council and memorial donations contributed to the Savannah Tree Foundation in memory of Malcolm Turner and Gray Solana. Additional support has been provided by JCB.
