Follow on Google News | Community health fair for veterans Saturday in Las VegasHorses4Heroes is presenting the Spring Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 21 from 9 am to 2 pm at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road, Las Vegas. The fair is free and open to the public.
By: Horses4Heroes The day-long summit will include family friendly activities as well as presentations and demonstrations from life skills coaches, therapists, fitness trainers, dog agility experts, nutrition and diet consultants, employment recruiters and financial planners. Activities include a Boot Camp/Challenge Course, Fit Kids Fun Zone, Horse Therapy 101, Family Fun Walk, Fishing, Barnyard Animals and Horseback Riding. Proceeds from the $10 Laser Tag will benefit Horses4Heroes free life skills workshops for veterans with PTS and victims of abuse and violence. The following are scheduled to participate: According to event organizers, the purpose of this event is to showcase in one place the eight dimensions of wellness as identified by UC Davis: Occupational, emotional, spiritual, environmental, financial, physical, social, and intellectual. UC Davis reports, on its web site, "Each dimension of wellness is interrelated with another. Each dimension is equally vital in the pursuit of optimum health.
