NORCROSS, Ga. - March 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Norcross, Ga. STW Technic, a premier manufacturer of controllers and measurement technology, will be showcasing innovative sensors and controllers at Automate 2015.

Sensors and controllers from STW are highly regarded for their rigorous testing, high quality German engineering and unmatched flexibility.

STW will showcase their comprehensive line of pressure sensors, measuring elements and controllers. As STW manufactures their own pressure measuring elements, they are able to provide customers the opportunity to design their own pressure applications. This can be accomplished by either supplying just the capsule itself or building up the capsule with a pressure fitting and electronics.

STW’s pressure elements based on thin film technology are able to produce pressure ranges from 25 to 3000 bar.

For the OEM and OPTI capsules, various thin film layers (NiCr, TiON) can be applied to a stainless steel capsule and designed for a particular temperature range. The TiON measurement cells deliver a significantly higher output signal (from 5.5 mV/V) when compared to NiCr measurement cells. For applications with aggressive mediums, (for example combustion gases) the measurement cell structure can be applied on alternative materials.

The OEM-measurement elements are welded to a pressure connection and fitted with color-coded contact leads. Depending on the operating temperature, there is an option of 2 different types of sensors. Alternatively STW supplies customized sensors with a temperature range of up to 350°C.

STW’s product range includes pressure transmitters with thin-film, ceramic and silicon sensors. The M01 and M01-CAN thin-film pressure transmitters are engineered for harsh conditions that are typical for hydraulic applications.

The M01 sensor is ideally suited for high volume, lower cost applications. A low cost/performance ratio makes it ideal for series production in off-highway vehicles.

The MO1 – CAN sensor, available in a wide range of pressure ranges and connection types, has a full J1939 capability and comes with a PC-based configurator tool which allows full configuration of all J1939 parameters.  More information on STW’s pressure transmitters is available at: http://www.stw-technic.com/products/sensors/mobile-pressure-transmitters/

STW will also have information on its controllers at the booth. STW has a comprehensive range of controllers, including the ESX – IOXP. The ESX- IOXP is a programmable version of the IOX (IOX is a remote I/O module for both analog and digital I/O). It is a smaller, less expensive 16-bit controller with a durable plastic housing, perfect for the material handling/logistics/ industrial automation and robotics industry. More information on the ESX – IOXP is available at: http://www.stw-technic.com/products/canbus-modules/freely-programmable/esx-ioxp/

Customers and industry members are invited to come to the STW booth to learn about STWs sensors, controllers and telematics solutions. At the booth, STW will also have resources for visitors highlighting how to tap into the latest in sensor and telematics technology.

Automate 2015 is being held in Chicago, Illinois from March 23 – 26. STW (http://www.stw-technic.com) will be in booth 189.
