He is currently working on his third internship with the company. “As a Sales and Social Media Intern, I have had a variety of job responsibilities. In my marketing role, I facilitated and created the content for social media resulting in an increase in Facebook "Likes" by 10 percent and Twitter followers by 30 percent,” Shannon said. “I also implemented the digital media strategy that reached more than seven million people during the tournament. Plus, I introduced a new initiative, a "Ten Day Countdown" of golf inspired pictures to add momentum leading up to the event.” Shannon’s success in his marketing role was evident through increased sales. “In my sales role, I assisted in generating $4 million in sales to increase charitable dollars through business development,” “Vince interacted with tournament staff and more than 1,000 volunteers. He has done an exceptional job during his internship for the Bridgestone Invitational,” Shannon found his internship through the College of Business Administration’ The College of Business Administration has a dedicated Career Services Office providing more than 150 internships per year for students with Business majors and minors. “As part of my role, I send out weekly emails to all business students who have opted into the listserv. This email provides students insight into the type jobs and intern opportunities employers are searching to fill,” said Mandy McNamee, internship coordinator for the College of Business Administration’ The 2015 Expys will take place March 25 at 11:30 a.m. at Windows on the River in Cleveland, Ohio.
