Dr. Rick Wall, DVM, receives Board Certification in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - March 17, 2015 - PRLog -- The Center for Veterinary Pain Management and Rehabilitation is pleased to announce that Dr. Rick Wall, DVM, of The Woodlands, Texas, is now Board Certified in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Rick Wall, DVM now joins only a handful of ACVSMR Diplomates worldwide to achieve this prestigious certification and becomes one of only seven veterinarians in Texas with the designation. When asked of the journey to become Board Certified and the difficulty in achieving Certification, Dr. Wall had this to say, ”Diplomates, in addition to passing a difficult 2 day exam, must meet a series of tough qualifications including practice experience of at least 10 years in canine sports medicine and/or rehabilitation.”

Dr. Wall went onto say that for him, becoming Board Certified was the end of a journey that began nearly 12 years ago with the simple idea of pushing the limits of what canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation could do.

According to the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, college was developed to meet the unique needs of athletic and working animals and all animals in need of rehabilitation.

About Dr. Rick Wall:

Dr. Rick Wall is the owner of Animal Clinics of The Woodlands and The Center for Veterinary Pain Management and Rehabilitation. He graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979 and following a career in equine medicine, opened Animal Clinic at Cochran's Crossing located in The Woodlands, Texas in 1995. This was to be the first of three primary veterinary locations that now form Animal Clinics of The Woodlands.

In 2004 Dr. Wall opened the Center for Veterinary Pain Management and Rehabilitation located at the Indian Springs location. Dr. Wall is certified in canine rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and is also a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist.
