PITTSBURGH - March 16, 2015 - PRLog -- IntegraCare President and Chief Operating Officer Loriann Putzier was honored as one of 26 recipients of the Pittsburgh Business Times’ 2015 Business Women First Award.

The award winners were recognized during a gala dinner and ceremony on Thursday, March 12 at the Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.

“It is a privilege to be recognized among such a distinguished group of Business Women First Award winners,” Putzier said. “I congratulate all of the award winners, who have accomplished so much to improve our region. I also thank the Pittsburgh Business Times for its recognizing the achievements of the women who have made an impact in the business community.”

Sixteen years ago, Putzier, along with her partner Rick Irwin, formed IntegraCare, which operates 13 senior living and memory care communities in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.

IntegraCare’s success is a result of the strong imprinting Putzier and Irwin have placed on the company. IntegraCare’s 3-Dimensional Approach begins with IntegraCare’s Personal Touch Program, which enables residents and family members to transition into senior living, whether in assisted living or memory care. The program also focuses on IntegraCare’s employees’ well-being. IntegraCare follows the philosophy that its communities are a great place to work, which in turn makes them a great place for the residents to live.

“The difference is distinctive,” Putzier said. “It is plain and simple: At IntegraCare, we care. We call it the ‘Personal Touch,’ but it is more than just a catchphrase. In fact, it is a promise. Our goal is to provide all the resources and services necessary to improve quality of life. We extend this promise to our residents, our employees, and friends and family.”

IntegraCare’s distinctive differences range from each community having a front porch to encourage community bonding; to aviaries that provide entertainment to residents and families; to a dedicated and efficient team which puts the residents’ needs first.

This focus has ensured sustained growth in practically every important measure over the past 16 years, top performance in regulators’ reviews and strong consumer satisfaction marks from patients and families.

Putzier’s work at IntegraCare has previously been recognized. In 2014: Pittsburgh Magazine included her in its Spotlight on Women in Business; Putzier was among the Pittsburgh Smart 50; and Pennsylvania Business Central named her among its Women Making a Difference.
