I arrived in the United States 35 years ago.  More time has been spent in the USA, than in India.   I  am a graduate in Integrated medicine, and studied both Indian traditional indigenous medicine as well as modern western medicine.  For my business, I have traveled around the globe.

Ayurvedic medicine is becoming increasingly popular in the west.  What you see in modern medicine,  70% of the drugs are derived from Indian or Chinese medicinal plants, including morphine, digitalis, dopamine and much more. Now natural products like curcumin, gugul, boswelia, ashwagandha, triphala and amla and many more like valerian (jatamansi),  brahmi, aloe vera are getting big in the west.

I have established a large operation called Biotechayur in Balasore which is visible to public on the NH 5 side in Balasore District .  Our name, Biotechayur, combines Biotech and Ayur (meaning Life Science).  Perhaps this is largest venture of a single handed Odia NRI from USA  in the State  of Odisha.  I also have a sophisticated analytical lab with many modern equipment from the USA.  We do not make any finished  products there. We are a 100% export unit of raw  extracted materials.  We are doing analytical work on medicinal plants as well as isolating molecules from organic source..

I am seriously looking for some land (50 to 100 acres)  to cultivate medicinal plants organically.  We are currently having problems with sourcing raw ingredients of  plants.

If  Government is serious in leasing land for 20 or 30 years, pls let me know via email dr.kumarpati@bestnutrition.com This could be an incentive of Odisha Government to foreign investors in Biotech and Biopharma Industries.

I want to make protein from organic sources as well as sugar, salt substitutes from organic plants.
