LEICESTER, U.K. - March 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Jelson Homes is pleased to be supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2015 with the announcement that it will be inviting school leavers to apply for a place as a construction apprentice.

The two- and three-year NVQ apprenticeships available with the Leicester-based developer include bricklaying, joinery, painting and decorating and scaffolding, all of which could lead to full-time employment with Jelson or as a stepping stone to another trade such as a trainee site manager.

By partnering with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), a Jelson apprenticeship means that successful applicants can look forward to hands-on learning on a live construction site and classroom-based theory from lecturers at Leicester College.

Anne de Vere Hunt, head of the Jelson apprenticeship scheme, says: “Our apprenticeship scheme helps young people to gain recognised and respected NVQ qualifications.

“Our skilled tradesmen working out on site take each individual through a structured programme of learning to ensure that they gain the best possible skills to complement their learning.

“Once their training is complete and qualifications have been obtained, we take on as many of our apprentices as we can to help fulfil our need to build more new homes and create communities.”

Those wishing to apply for an apprenticeship with Jelson should first visit  jelson.co.uk.
