Bluewire Audio LLC Announces Emily Proos as CEO

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - March 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Bluewire Audio LLC, a start-up company recently founded by Andy and Emily Proos that is working to develop a safer and less cumbersome way to listen to audio while running or engaged in other physical activity, announced that Emily Proos will serve as chief executive officer of the company.

In this capacity, Emily Proos will oversee the development of the speaker prototype and a Kickstarter campaign to be launched in the upcoming months, as well as directing the day-to-day functioning of the company.  The company plans to partner with area running clubs to test the prototypes and eventually market this product to participants of major running and fitness events.

In addition to co-founding Bluewire Audio with her father Andy Proos in 2014, the Northborough resident is currently a senior at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass., where she anticipates graduating with a bachelor of science in business administration in May.  At Babson, she is a member of the John E. and Alice L. Butler Venture Accelerator Program.  Coming from a family of runners, she has contributed to her father’s efforts over the last few years to create a device that allows a runner to listen to music or other audio without the distraction caused by fumbling with earbuds or the lack of awareness that earbuds and other traditional headphones can cause.

“Bluewire Audio is an incredibly exciting venture,” said Proos.  “Our product will allow runners and other fitness enthusiasts the ability to safely and conveniently enjoy music, podcasts, or other audio while remaining aware of their surroundings.  Starting up as a family business to produce and promote this product makes the work that much more enjoyable,” she said.
