CINCINNATI - March 12, 2015 - PRLog -- The Cincinnati Food + Wine Classic (http://www.cincinnatifoodandwineclassic.com/) is back for a second season from September 11 - 13, 2015, bringing the best food and beverage flavors from Cincinnati and the Midwest together for a three-day party in and around Washington Park.

“Last year proved that Cincinnati is a culinary destination with world-class talent,” said Courtney Tsitouris, co-founder of Cincinnati Food + Wine Classic. “This year, we’re excited to bring back the best parts of the inaugural event with new ideas that will make for an even better experience.”

The 2015 schedule features over 100 chefs, winemakers, brewers, roasters, growers, and food artisans in four signature grand tastings and 35-plus programs.

- The PORK CHOPPED competition returns Friday night, with more than two-dozen chefs battling it out in front of national judges for the best pork-inspired bites. New this year: swine shares the spotlight with “Homespun Sides” as a competition entry.
- Saturday evening’s FEAST IN THE PARK presents the best of our region’s fine dining, as well as fare from visiting guest chefs.
- Saturday and Sunday features two kitchens headlining local, regional, and national personalities in demonstrations, competitions, and seminars, plus the addition of the DAY MARKET, showcasing food artisans and restaurants.

Also, look for the return of last year’s hot ticket, Sunday’s RISING STARS BRUNCH,providing attendees the opportunity to taste the collaboration among the city’s up-and-coming chef talents, and CLASSIC IN THE CITY, late-night parties capping Friday andSaturday’s grand tastings.

“Our mission is to create a celebration of homegrown flavor served alongside nationally recognized chefs, wine and spirit experts, brewers, storytellers, and food personalities,” says Donna Covrett, co-founder of the Cincinnati Food + Wine Classic. “Our intent is to shape this event to become the Midwest’s premier exhibition of fantastic culinary and beverage arts by showing what Cincinnati and the Southern Ohio Valley brings to the table.”

Talent for the 2015 Cincinnati Food & Wine Classic will be announced May 15th, and tickets will go on sale to the public June 1st. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Freestore Foodbank (http://freestorefoodbank.org/) and Findlay Market (http://findlaymarket.org/).
