Internationally Award Winning Artist Paints Cover Art for Writers of the Future Volume 31

Internationally award winning artist and Illustrators of the Future Contest judge, Bob Eggleton, has painted the cover art for L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 31 as well provide an insightful article "On the Direction of Art."
 
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - March 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Multiple Hugo Award winning artist, Bob Eggleton, has provided the cover art for the upcoming L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 31 and is titled “Queen of Angels” it was announced by Galaxy Press President, John Goodwin.  “Bob is skilled in all forms of art which makes him especially valuable to the Illustrators of the Future Contest as a judge,” stated Goodwin.  “In addition to the cover art, Bob also provided insightful advice to the aspiring artist in his essay entitled “On the Direction of Art” also published in volume 31.”

Bob Eggleton is a founding judge for the Illustrators of the Future Contest, now in its 26th year. Eggleton has won the Hugo Award for Best Professional Artist eight times.  He also won a Hugo for Best Related Book for his book “Greetings From Earth.”  He has won the Chesley Award for Artistic Achievement and was the Guest of Honor at the ChiCon 2000 world science fiction convention.

The Writers of the Future writing contest (www.writersofthefuture.com) was initiated by L. Ron Hubbard in 1983 to provide a means for aspiring writers to get that much-needed break. Due to the success of the Writing Contest, the companion Illustrators of the Future Contest was created in 1988.

The intensive mentoring process has proven very successful.  The 348 past winners of the Writing Contest have published 838 novels and nearly 4,000 short stories. They have produced 27 New York Times bestsellers and their works have sold over 50 million copies.
