Hope and relief from general anxiety………………Mr Popovich's "Layman's Guide" presents several cognitive-behavioral techniques for overcoming non-traumatic anxiety in language accessible to the regular person. He also shares a religious perspective that will comfort many readers. Along with a sort of atlas for persons seeking to overcome their anxiety, Popovich provides HOPE; probably the most powerful gift for folks in extreme discomfort.---By: Robert Michael Cox-Posted On Amazon

How to Overcome Fear in a Few Short Steps……………..A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Stanley Popovich presents his guide to overcoming fear and anxiety in the form of a common sense booklet accessible to all ages. Stan explores three different approaches to managing fear: practicing general counseling techniques, asking for God's help, and using non-resistant methods, which, when combined, can serve as a powerful tool in fear management. In brief, within relatively few pages, A Layman's Guide to Managing Fear packs a powerful punch and is well worth the read.   By: L.C. Henderson—Posted On Amazon

A Good Start………………
I found the book to be interesting. It is not a complete treatise on the subject of fear, nor was it meant to be, but it is a good reference starting point. The author brings up some good points, good arguments and he reminds the reader of some proven methods of overcoming fear should that be the purpose of reading the book. I do not believe this book should be a clinical treatise on the subject, but rather a good home library reference on the subject. It is a well-written, well-thought out book. Good job. Realistic and helpful…………………Lots of good advice. His encouragement to try different methods - especially when dealing with different fears - is especially helpful. Not everyone deals with fear the same way, and not every situation calls for the same response. Great examples also. By: Juliette Cowall- Posted On Amazon

Excellent Book…………………Having read the book ' A Layman's Guide to managing Fear' it is so well written and easy to understand. As humans we all have our FEARS and look for ways to cope. I would recommend this book/kindle to everyone. I look forward to reading many more books by Stanley Popovich   By: Jenny-- Posted On Amazon

Good basic introduction to managing fear……………..Stanley Popovich, in his book "A layman's guide to managing fear using psychology, Christianity and non resistant methods" does a decent job of helping the average person understand fear from a psychological and non-resistant methods perspective. As far as Christian books that attempt to bridge the gap between psychology and the church's teaching on how to manage fear, he does a better job than any other text I have personally reviewed. He manages to introduce biblical texts on how God sees fear and anxiety in a way that are non-condemning and are encouraging.By: S. Thomas-- Posted On Amazon
