PRLog -- The Thing Store, in Meridian, Idaho, (www.thethingstore.com)
has recently helped to sponsor a charity event which included a Simultaneous chess exhibition in Boise Idaho. The event was hosted by Master’s Academy Boise. All of the funds that were raised went to the Boise Chess Festival, a nonprofit organization that organizes various events in the Boise area. During the charity event, Chess Master, and 2015 Idaho State Chess Champion David Lucky, played against 20 different chess players simultaneously. The participants included some of the top adult chess players in Idaho, as well as many of Idaho’s top junior chess players, that are on their way to a national competition. Also, before the start of the chess simul, Mr. Lucky gave a 30 minute lecture, and educational presentation on various chess strategies. The chess simul and lecture lasted more than 5 hours. Although it was challenging for everyone, in the end, Mr. Lucky had scored 19 wins, 1 draw, and no losses. The sponsor, The Thing Store, is an Idaho based company, which operates an online ecommerce technology website store. They specialize in the marketing of high tech consumer electronics, including robotics, consumer drones, wearables, and Internet of Things related products.
