US Black Engineer and Information Technology Magazine Names Best Companies for Veterans

BALTIMORE - March 11, 2015 - PRLog -- US Black Engineer and Information Technology (USBE & IT) magazine, a publication geared to the advancement of multicultural professionals and students in STEM has released its Best Companies for Veterans list.

Currently, two-thirds of veterans have expressed a difficulty obtaining employment. After veterans were surveyed by the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), researchers found that 10 percent of the respondents were currently unemployed, with only 53% percent reporting to have found employment since leaving military service.

The following list highlights 24 employers who have outstanding programs and benefits for veterans and veteran spouses. These employers offer veterans offer assistances, which include training, professional development courses, tuition reimbursement and STEM career opportunities directly within their company.

Companies were selected as one of the best companies for veterans by completing a Best Companies for Veterans survey conducted by USBE magazine, and were also chosen based on their practices and initiatives to provide a successful transition from a military to civilian lifestyle.
