On Thursday, March 19th from 6:00-8:00 PM, the Oakland University Center for Autism (OUCARES), in collaboration with On My Own of Michigan, Inc., will offer a valuable and compelling presentation by Tamar Heller, PhD, Chair of the Department of Disabilities and Human Development at the University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Heller is a nationally-recognized authority on issues related to aging within the developmental disabilities community. Her presentation entitled Aging Adults with Developmental Disabilities: “Dr. Heller’s presentation promises to be rich in the kind of information families need to consider in order to develop sound plans with their family member. Her extensive research, teaching and policy background demonstrate she is clearly a highly-regarded expert on the topic.” according to Bruce Benson, Executive Director of On My Own of Michigan. The presentation is a part of the OUCARES Evening Enrichment Series and will be held at the Oakland Center in the heart of Oakland University in Auburn Hills.
