10 Tampa Bay Nonprofits Move on to Final Round, Vie for $35,000 Technology Grant

TAMPA, Fla. - March 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Tampa, FL – 10 of Tampa Bay’s most recognized nonprofit organizations have successfully moved on to the second round of voting, triumphing over 98 other nonprofits in the area to advance their chances at winning technology makeover grants valued at $35,000.

Moving on to the final round of voting are: A Kid’s Place, Berkley Accelerated Middle School/Polk Pre-Collegiate Academy, Clearwater Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center, Family Promise of Pinellas, Humane Society of Pinellas, Impact Program, Meals on Wheels of Tampa, Rotary’s Camp Florida, Washburn Academy and Wounded Warriors in Action (WWIA). The final round of voting runs March 16-31^st, 2015. A winner will be selected from each category, to be announced the week of April 6^th, 2015.

The Technology JumpStart Your Nonprofit program, now in its third year, is funded and operated by Milner, Inc., a business technology company. The program has successfully run in Atlanta and Raleigh-Durham, awarding $70,000 in technology products and services.

The grant program provides an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to upgrade their often overlooked technology so they can better serve their communities. The makeover may include, but is not limited to, IT consulting and management services, telecommunications equipment and services, multifunction printers and electronic document management.
