BROOKLYN, N.Y. - March 9, 2015 - PRLog -- On March 25, 2015 the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC) will be launching its Inaugural Celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall located at 209 Joralemon Ave. Brooklyn, New York under the leadership of LIAACC;s Brooklyn Director La'Shawn Allen-Muhammad.  The Inaugural Celebration and Meeting will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.

LIAACC is excited to bring the counties of Brooklyn, Nassau, Queens and Suffolk together to celebrate the Inaugural launch and meeting to begin to foster greater trade opportunities and business growth in the region.  The launch is of historic proportions as LIAACC is the first African American Chamber directed to serve across four counties." LIAACC is a leading advocate for Minority Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) certification and utilization in the four counties of Brooklyn, Nassau, Suffolk and Queens.  Charlene Thompson of Baldwin-based Thompson Economic Development Services stated in Newsday “We want our professional services as well as our trades to be aware of the contracting opportunities”. We want to give business owners the skills and capacity to successfully engage in government contracting on the local stage and national levels, so they can not only sustain themselves and the employees, but hire folks and create jobs.”
