Technology Association of Georgia to Present Seminar on “On-Shoring”

ATLANTA - March 9, 2015 - PRLog -- The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Manufacturing Society will present a breakfast seminar, “On-Shoring – Bringing Manufacturing Jobs Back to America” on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA. The event will be held in conjunction with the Southeast Design-2-Part Show being held on March 25-26, also at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

Join TAG for this informative program and learn why manufacturing companies are making sound business decisions to bring their manufacturing back home. A panel of accomplished speakers will look at this decision process from many perspectives including the global dynamics driving the change. Attendees will hear input from several speakers and have the opportunity to ask specific questions.

The program will begin with a Keynote Presentation by Rob Visintainer, Vice President of Global Manufacturing for the NCR Corporation. Mr. Visintainer is credited for driving NCR’s transformation from an outsourcing model to a NCR Global Manufacturing Network and with bringing manufacturing back to the U.S.

The keynote will be followed by an On-Shoring Panel Discussion. The three panelists will be:

Erik Christensen, President, Hansgrohe-US

Karen Fite, Director, Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership

Troels Adrian, Director, Supply Chain & Advanced Manufacturing, Metro Atlanta Chamber

The breakfast will start at 7:30 am and the program will run from 8:00 am – 9:30 am.  The event will conclude in time for the day two opening of the Southeast Design-2-Part Show where visitors can gain connections with American vendors that will aid them in their product development and manufacturing. The co-located Design-2-Part Show is the largest show in the region to focus exclusively on contract manufacturing services. The 2015 show will feature over 180 of the finest American contract manufacturing companies exhibiting design-through-manufacturing services covering more than 300 product categories.
