BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - March 9, 2015 - PRLog -- A + C Reuter New Cinema has successfully launched A + C Reuter Fine Arts with a limited preview exhibition of works by globally recognized artist Walter Wegmüller.  The event, held at the Jeanie Madsen Gallery in Santa Monica, California was attended by an intimate group of art collectors and buyers, and many influencers from both the social and traditional media communities.

Andrea Reuter, a network executive with over 20 years of top-level experience, started A + C Reuter New Cinema 5 years ago and most recently served as associate co-producer of the feature length movie “Bibliotheque Pascal”, a Hungarian-German co-production which was Hungary's pick for best foreign language film in this year’s Academy Awards.

On starting a fine art division, Reuter said, “We are just thrilled to be part of the Hollywood movement to support fine arts.  The evening was a success with great feedback and tremendous support.”

Debuting the new division with Wegmüller was an absolute choice for Reuter, “Walter has always been able to express his life experiences and his feelings about his journey of life in his art. It seems that rather than writing it down, he painted it. The results are extraordinary, and provoked me to look at our world in a different way.”

Walter Wegmüller is a Swiss painter who lives in Basel and who is recognized as one of the most important living artists of the country.  His colorful paintings often focus on people, contrasts, men and women or sun and moon. The four elements - water, fire, air and earth – are of special significance to the artist. Wegmüller’s early years were dominated by black and white, whereas today strong colors and lines characterize his work.

Wegmüller’s previewed series, “This Slipped Into The Painting” followed one of his favorite phrase’s - suggesting that his drawings and paintings are not a forced effort for him.  “It simply fascinates [me] to watch the process of creation on [my] canvas.”

The preview exhibition was so well received it was extended to February 27, 2015 and has inspired a series of interactive exhibitions that will be debut in Spring of 2015.
