Innovative crowd-funding platform launches with three events to support world-class charities.

CLEVELAND, Ga. - March 6, 2015 - PRLog -- fitRaise, Inc. announces the release of a virtual event based fundraising platform for charities and causes. The fitRaise platform enables organizations to host virtual events where supporters earn donations while they run, walk, or cycle in their own locations on their own time.

The launch of fitRaise comes with events in support of the Georgia Chapter of Make A Wish Foundation and Operation Homefront, a veterans support organization.  The fitRaise platform will also be home for an event honoring World Down Syndrome Day benefitting the National Down Syndrome Society.  The three events this month will be followed by events for Truett McConnell College and other organizations later this Spring.

The innovative platform utilizes web and mobile technology to allow participants to collect pledges for each mile that they complete during the extended event period.  Donors, after pledging an amount per mile, use the fitRaise Fun and Fair Donation Process to also pledge a minimum and maximum donation amount in support of the participant’s exercise activities.

“This month marks the culmination of several months of development and planning.  We are excited to finally bring this platform to market and get it in the hands of real organizations making real impact.    We hope to have in impact on individuals, causes, and communities around the world through the fitRaise platform. “ Said Bobby Valentine.

In addition to launching the platform this month fitRaise has been selected as one of 15 companies to present their product to a group of sports industry investors in an event inspired by the popular tv show Shark Tank.  The event, Sports Tank, sponsored by TPG Sports Group in Charlotte, NC will allow Bobby Valentine, co-founder and CEO of fitRaise to present the fitRaise vision to investors, media, and sports industry professionals.

Individuals wishing to run, walk, or cycle in support of the Make A Wish Foundation, Operation Homefront, or National Down Syndrome Society can visit the fitRaise website (http://www.fitraise.com/) or download the free fitRaise mobile apps available on the AppStore (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fitraise-run-walk-or-ride...) and GooglePlay (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitraise.fitRaise).   Tickets and information for the Sports Tank event in Charlotte, NC on March 26th may be found on the TPG Sports Group’s website.
