Make sure to tune in to the award-winning series Mission Makeover® on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 7:30 am (ET/PT) for Episode #5 “Family Dynamics” as the ladies explore how genetics plays a role in who they are, and why they are the way they are. The encore presentation will air on Tuesday, March 10 at 7:30 a.m. (ET/PT). Is there a “fat gene”? Co-Host Jamie Eason, and Nutritionist Meryl Brandwein will pow-wow with the ladies at a local park to explore the topic of DNA, and if genes play a role they are destined to have -- especially when it comes to their children. Can nutrition and lifestyle help change one’s predisposition? No one can do it alone! Any journey impacts close friends and family who will come to the park to help the ladies kick it up a notch with fun physical exercise. Jamie will reveal the #1 family activity that is easy for all family members to do together! With the announcement that the Mission Makeover Team, Brandi, Nicole, Rochelle and Nikki will be running their first 5K race, and to better prepare they receive a little help from: Amino Acids? Bree Lambert, AjiPure Fitness Expert and USA Track & Field National Champion takes the ladies through some simple exercises and running drills, followed by a sit down session with Dr. Miro Smriga, Ph.D, AjiPure Director of Scientific & Regulatory Affairs for Ajiinomoto North America, who talks amino acids and recovering after physical exercise. The ladies will receive a special surprise to help them on their fitness journey. Don’t take it too seriously! Phit America’s CEO and Founder Jim Baugh will stop by the park where the ladies will learn some tips on getting fit and healthy, incorporating fitness into everyday life … and keeping things fun for the whole family. Phit America is a Partner with the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, an organization that is committed to fighting childhood obesity. Watch as the ladies run in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in Boca Raton, Fl. Besides Jamie Eason revealing that she is a breast cancer survivor, find out which of the team members has a connection to cancer, causing her to run and make strides with even more purpose. HairUWear will join the race with a team to support Team Mission Makeover and the community.
