UK Wills Register - goes live!

LONDON - March 6, 2015 - PRLog -- The UK Wills Register at www.theukwillsregister.co.uk is launched offering a simple to complete, confiential and secure service enabling anyone to register the location of your Will. You decide who will have access to the information and you can then update it, should you move the will from home to home, or solicitor to solicitor, for example.  If you then, for any reason, wish to delete the record, you are free to do so.

In launching the service, the emphasis is on saving distress. It is appsrent that when solicitors' firms close or we move house, the Will can easily be mislaid. Worse still, if we suffer from dementia, it is conceivable that we ourselves will not remember where the Will is kept. So as a safety net, the the UK Wills Register will  hold this information for us, and save the heartache of leaving it to our loved ones to not know where the Will is.

This is a nightmare that occurs to often and is now avoidable. Both registering and searching (for which you are provided with a password) are totally free, as is the case should you ever wish to amend or delete the details.
