Ann Arbor Carpets Collects Gifts for the Troops

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - March 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Ann Arbor Carpets, teaming up with Anderson Paint Co., Big George’s Home Appliance Mart, and Delux Drapery & Shade, will be collecting gifts through the end of March for care packages to be sent to deployed soldiers. The donations will be packaged and sent by Operation Care Package Michigan.

“It’s incredible to see so many people in the community come together for a great cause”, said Jenny Mrozinski of Ann Arbor Carpets. “Anything we can do to bring these soldiers a bit of home and happiness is more important than we know. It can be life changing.”

Many local kids will be writing letters or drawing pictures for the soldiers, which will be added to the care packages. The receiving soldiers often say these letters of encouragement and thanks are the best gifts of all.

Donations can be dropped off at Ann Arbor Carpets, Anderson Paint Co., Big George’s Home Appliance Mart, and Delux Drapery & Shade. The businesses will be accepting donations of small toys, candy, travel size toiletries, snacks, games, books, DVDs, gum, and anything else that would be helpful or fun. All monetary donations will go toward gifts for the soldiers.

These items may seem insignificant, but help to entertain and convenience soldiers, all while bringing them a little bit of home.
