Follow on Google News | Personalized Academic Education Will Continue Through 2020Demonstrated academic success will keep Coleman Tech Charter High School’s doors open for another five years.
All public charter schools must apply for charter renewal on milestone years designated by California Department of Education. Last night's five year renewal represents a mandatory follow up to Coleman Tech’s original charter granted in 2010. The San Diego Board of Education's complete accord is more than five green lights, it is a vote of confidence in the school’s continued success in partnership with the community. Currently in its 5th year, Coleman Tech Charter High School serves nearly 240 public students in grades 9-12. “This is a great achievement, which non of this would be possible without our supportive staff, students, parents and community.” exclaimed Coleman Tech’s Executive Director, Dr. Wahab. Stake holders rose to the occasion advocating in front of the board for Coleman Tech’s renewal. Parent of both a Coleman Tech graduate and current senior, Sylvia Rodriquez, said “Coleman Tech has been like a second chance for us. The special education department has offered the skills and tools to help my child succeed in life.” Jason Esguerra, a junior graduating early said “Coleman Tech is not an ordinary school. It offers advanced curriculums, a foundation for brighter futures, the ability to learn subjects quickly and efficiently while forging close relationships between the students and the teachers.” Coleman Tech is currently accepting enrollments for the 2015-2016 school year.
