NCC Cadets from Jain University ride for a Swachh India

 
BANGALORE, India - March 5, 2015 - PRLog -- NCC Cadets from Jain University work relentlessly to understand the various cultural diversity of our country. Eight cadets from the 2A/5 Company, 7 Karnataka Battalion NCC from Jain University have undertaken a motorcycle expedition from Bangalore to Arunachal Pradesh covering a distance of 11011 Km in a span of 42 days. The theme of the ride is “Riding to Promote the Sense of Nationalism and Humanity in India” and “Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat”.  The chief guest for the event was Air Commodore     C Rajeev, Deputy Director General, Karnataka and Goa Directorate NCC, Bangalore.

He inaugurated the event, and shared his thoughts with the students, “There is no better way to assimilate knowledge other than travel. Our country has so many beautiful places, and diverse cultures, and it is important that we must have an understanding of our nation. I applaud Jain University for providing their students with support and encouragement to take up this long journey.”

The students Harshith P V, Akshaya Rajpurohith, Jerry Blaize, Aryan Singh, Ranvir Singh, Manoj Prakash, Akshay A L and Roopesh Sampath are ready for their adventure. Their polished and practical Royal Enfield and Duke bikes are equipped for this long journey on the road. Aryan Singh said, “I am excited to undertake this journey, and I have always been a fan of travelling. This is a great opportunity for me and I have prepared extensively for this journey. We have planned every step of our way in such a way we can enjoy the local culture to the maximum.”

Speaking on his thoughts on the themes Aryan Singh elaborates, “I wanted our journey to uplift a cause and Swachh Bharat has been one of the best initiatives of recent times, I am eager to be a part of this expedition, which will create a widespread awareness of these initiatives. I think it falls on our shoulders as students to understand the diverse aspects of India, and to cherish it.”

The flags give the green signal, and the bikes start with steady pace, and disappear into the horizon as the students navigate through the heavy traffic. Jain University students continue to pursue knowledge, adventure and nationalism in equal measure.
