WIMBLEDON, U.K. - March 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Recent reviews of popular celebrity stylist Nicky Hambleton-Jones’ style academy courses have put NHJ style at the top of the list for aspiring personal stylists.

Founded in 2001, NHJ Style Consultancy expanded in 2008 when its Style Academy was launched to train a new generation of styling talent.

With the courses more in demand than ever, the Style Academy offers a dynamic range of intensive industry-leading training options for those wanting to establish their own styling business or work as a personal shopper.

Graduates of the courses unanimously praise the innovative programmes, engaging delivery and strong combination of tutorials and practical experience. And the NHJ Style team of tutors don’t just share the secrets of their years of industry expertise; they also support students wanting to establish their own personal styling business by incorporating a focus within the courses on the mechanics of setting up a successful business.

This element is crucial, says one graduate: “I wasn’t expecting to learn so much about the practical side of creating my own styling consultancy. Everyone in my class felt the same; that without this part of the course we wouldn’t have as much confidence in our ability to get out there and do it for ourselves.”

Another draw for the NHJ Style Academy courses is the fact that every single course participant is offered two days’ work experience with Nicky’s team of expert stylists – an opportunity many other course providers don’t currently have available.

The gravitas of studying under Nicky Hambleton-Jones and her team of tutors combined with the unique mix of hands-on practice and tutorial learning, not to mention the strong focus on helping each budding stylist to truly succeed, means that graduates universally recommend the courses to others.

One graduate enthused she’d learnt far more than she had expected to. “I learned how to use colour, how to use accessories, how to dress myself and others to best suit their features and body type, but I think the most important element for me was learning how to dress confidently. The course has totally changed the way I feel about myself and I’m so grateful. Now I can’t wait to give that gift to others.”

Another chose the course because a friend recommended it to her after having completed it in 2008. “She’s looked so stylish ever since, which speaks for itself. She also spoke so highly of Nicky and her team, which convinced me even more that it was the right course for me.”

This student began the course with firm expectations of what she wanted to get out of the course, but found she gained so much more: “For me there were several important things I wanted to come away from the course.

“I wanted to learn how to do a wardrobe consultation, how to properly fit a bra, how to shop with individuals and corporate clients and how to understand client needs. I basically wanted to know how to do the job of a personal stylist, and how to do it well.

“A day into the course I realised that I never wanted it to finish! I became more and more fired up as the week went on, and found I couldn’t sleep because I was so excited about the challenges that lay ahead after the course ended. It was challenging but it was so much fun – thanks to the exceptional tutors – and I came away feeling completely comfortable that I can do this.”

As a further endorsement of the course structure, another graduate came away with some important lessons for her new career. “I was nervous about how you would go about critiquing someone’s style, but now I can approach those situations easily.

“I’ve learned that a bra is a woman’s best friend; that you can dress yourself on any budget, and that knowing your client and doing your research are critical. I’m also confident that there is a real business opportunity for me in styling, thanks to the inspiring NHJ Style team I met during the work experience who shared their knowledge so unselfishly. It’s been such a privilege to know that you’re being taught by the best in the business. Above all, I had a great time, which is so essential when you’re going back to study.”
