WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - March 4, 2015 - PRLog -- The Triunfo YMCA’s "You Gotta Have Heart” matching gift campaign received four new naming pledge gifts, according to Ronnie Stone, executive director of the Triunfo YMCA. The gifts go towards the completion of the 18-acre Westlake Village Regional Family Park and Triunfo YMCA. Gifts made in March will be matched dollar for dollar by David Murdock, Dole Food Company CEO

Triunfo YMCA Board President Bill Gray has pledged a naming donation for the executive offices of the YMCA facilities; the grand stairs will be named after the Amoroso family and the administrative reception area will be named after Marla and Arnie Schwartz .The Westlake Women's Club has selected the last naming position available for the Wishing Wellness Welcome Entry. Terry and Marianne Murphy have pledged $10,000 to the overall YMCA project.

Already, the first floor of the YMCA center will feature the Cal Johnston Welcome Lobby and the Hogan Foundation Art Wall. The public will gain wellness insight at the Dole Interactive Learning Center and Café. IBRC Incorporated, creators of Open-line, also gave its support to the project this week. Previously, Greg and Tamara Campbell pledged $25,000 for one of the outdoor baseball scoreboards.

The first pledge gift for the Triunfo YMCA’s construction was made by Doug and Penny Yarrow, endorsing one of the core values of the Y mission: healthy living. Last year, the Yarrows pledged $1 million for a state of the art fitness center. An adjoining indoor/outdoor Child Watch Center is still available for donor recognition.

"We are striving to meet Mr. Murdock’s incredibly generous challenge of matching all fund raised in March and raising $6 million to complete the funding for the Y building," says Stone. “His extraordinary philanthropy will forever allow many non-profits and thousands of families to thrive at this one-of-a-kind complex. Two main indoor pools will offer special consideration for warm water therapy and special needs locker rooms, providing great assistance to the many medical facilities, seniors and special needs citizens in our region.”

The Triunfo Y is reaching out to community members that may have an interest in pledging financial support through legacy, personal, or business gifting. “I welcome you to call me directly for a site tour:” says Stone. "We want to reach our goal to open in the fall of 2015 and to begin welcoming the 40,000 community members we expect to enjoy this beautiful site each year."

Two of the baseball fields are almost ready for the first pitch, scheduled for mid-March, when 500 parking spaces will be available. The Triunfo Y will also have an instructional field that is available for donor recognition consideration.

Another way to help support the Triunfo Y building campaign is to sponsor and participate in the May 11 Triunfo Y Golf Tournament at Moorpark Country Club. The event will include the golf tournament, auction and a post-golf dinner with the cause supporting the Y’s special needs changing area and locker rooms.
