Champion Timber promotes excellence in staff leadership

NEW MALDEN, U.K. - March 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Leading independent timber specialist Champion Timber that has its headquarters in New Malden with nine branches across the South-East is proud to announce that six of its staff have completed the prestigious Level 3 Leadership & Management certificate from the ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) as part of its on-going training and development programme for its 195 strong workforce.  The training was completed in conjunction with accredited learning centre Tourism South East and the course was specifically tailored to meet Champion’s business working practices.

The staff that have achieved the ILM Level 3 Leadership & Management qualification include Francis Blewit, Dan Heath, Ian Ridland, Max Russell, Kevin Simper and Jonothan Thrumble.  Personnel were selected after a 2 day assessment that identified how training could help future development of individuals from a variety of roles such as desk sales staff and supervisors.  Core elements of the course that required both self-study and written assignments included; core management skills, team leadership, change & innovation, managing people & relationships and leadership.
