Boston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Celebrates is 70th Anniversary

BOSTON - March 4, 2015 - PRLog -- The Boston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will celebrate 70 years of community service. Through the organization’s national Five-Point Program Thrust, which focuses on Economic and Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental enlightenment, and Political Awareness, the Boston Alumnae Chapter provides an array of community service initiatives and programs.

The chapter will celebrate this milestone, on Saturday, March 28, 2015.  The event titled “A Legacy of Service: Celebrating 70 Years of Sisterhood”, will be attended by men and women who are a part of Boston’s business, higher education, and non-profit communities. Our keynote speaker will be our 24th National President, Cynthia M.A. Butler-McIntyre. Additionally, as a part of this event, we will recognize the contributions of Boston’s most influential women from the Five Point Program Thrust sectors we serve.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University. Today Delta Sigma Theta Sorority has over 250,000 members and more than 900 chapters worldwide. The Sorority uses its Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement to create its national programs. For nearly seventy years, Boston Alumnae Chapter, has been actively engaged in public service throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with a primary focus on the Metropolitan Boston area.   We remain steadfast in our commitment to produce quality programs and projects which are in line with our National Five Point Programmatic Thrust.
