DM Tree Organizes Social Media Workshop at DMS IIT Fest

DELHI, India - March 4, 2015 - PRLog -- New Delhi, March 04, 2015: New Delhi-based DM Tree, a marketing communications and digital marketing training agency recently organised a Social Media Training workshop for the students at the DMS IIT Fest. The training was conducted to empower the DMS IIT students to enhance their networking skills with Social Media tools available in today’s digital world.  The workshop focused on how to build the network using groups, company pages, alumni network and create personal brand by participating in discussions and publishing posts particularly on LinkedIn platform.

“While, most of the participants were confident about their capabilities as far as creating professional networks, they were not aware of the true potential of various tools of Social Media platform. During the training session, we imparted knowledge about LinkedIn and how it can empower the participants to position themselves effectively in the job market,” said Mr. Ambikesh Ratnu, Co-founder, DM Tree.

Globally LindedIn has 300 million+ users and India has the second largest LinkedIn user base, with the number touching around 30 million. Every second more than 2 users are signing up on LinkedIn  and over 39 million students and recent college graduates are already reaping benefits using LinkedIn.

“The workshop achieved its purpose when one of the students shared his struggle with the social media network to promote and seek advice from professionals. We helped him to identify the right person from his alumni network using some of the tips discussed in the workshop.
