For the past 5 years, Silent Floor Solutions has been offering clients a holistic solution by diagnosing and silencing different sound sources to remove squeaks and creaks from floors and subfloors. Squeaky floors are often the result of structural wear and defects originating from ducts, pipes, cables, braces, loose joists, distortion in subfloors, moving elements within ceilings or walls, spaces forming between floor boards or worn hardwood boards rubbing together. Tiny holes are strategically drilled into the floor to apply their engineered adhesive, which is designed to spread evenly between the internal layers and problem areas that are causing the squeaks. Did you know? It takes 12 trees that are each 18 inches in diameter with a trunk at least 10 feet long to make 1,200 square feet of hardwood flooring, enough for the first floor of an average-sized, 2,400-square-foot 2 storey house.

Over the past 5 years, Silent Floor Solutions has saved more than 500 square feet of hardwood from 500 projects for a total of 250,000 square feet. If you divide 250,000 square feet by 1,200 square feet of hardwood planks used in the average home and multiply that by the 12 trees it takes to make the planks, Silent Floor Solutions has saved 2,500 trees that are 18 inches in diameter. It takes 64 years to grow one 18" diameter tree.
