Follow on Google News | News from the Mercedes-Benz Club: SLKs Take Centre-Stage at Mercedes-Benz World – Sunday June 28A great day for all SLK owners and enthusiasts on Sunday 28th June 2015 at Mercedes-Benz World Brooklands.
The SLK is the new generation of smaller sports cars launched by Mercedes-Benz in 1996 and now in its third incarnation. Examples of all models will be present and there will be track demonstrations, parade laps, a ‘Polish and Show’ competition plus presentations and advice from the Club's Technical Team. All Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts, which ever model they drive, will be welcome, but to take part in the event rather than just watch it you need to join the Mercedes-Benz Club and register in advance – via http://www.mercedes- 120 SLKs attended the model's first 'Day' in 2014 and even more are expected this year. Around the SLKs all the normal attractions of Mercedes-Benz World will be available, including displays of historic models, the full current range, the Boutique offering personal accessories and a choice of catering facilities. If you tire of all things Mercedes-Benz you can visit the adjoining Brooklands Museum to see the history of British motor racing and aviation – from the earliest races and flights to F1 and Concorde. The Mercedes-Benz Club The Club has over 10,000 Members and organises a huge range of events for them – including national and international rallies, a national concours competition and lots of social events, including local pub meetings and participation in shows and rallies in the UK, Ireland and Europe.
