March 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Altaro Software, a fast growing developer of backup solutions for Microsoft Hyper-V, today announced the release of Altaro Hyper-V Backup v5.

With Altaro Hyper-V Backup v5, managing backup and restoring VMs has never been easier. The product’s new user interface offers the user a more logical and intuitive approach to various configurations and tasks an administrator can execute while enabling them to control all their VMs across Hyper-V hosts from one central console.

“Apart from major performance improvements, the power of Altaro Hyper-V Backup v5 is its UI overhaul, which is built for scalability, making remote management across all Hyper-V hosts easier to manage in larger environments.” commented David Vella, CEO of Altaro. “This is an important step in the product’s evolution and preparing us for more major developments coming along this year.”

Various performance improvements were made, offering far more flexibility in using Altaro Hyper-V Backup on a daily basis. Administrators can now run concurrent backup/restore/offsite copy jobs across hosts, queue backup jobs and back up virtual machines to multiple primary backup and offsite locations, amongst other additions.
