Folr making big moves in geo-location tracking industry

March 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Folr, a geo-location tracking application for loved ones, makes major announcements today on its new Folr Business (http://www.folr.com) platform, appointing a new CEO and signing of a major partnership.

To fully maximise the power of its permission-based tracking technology, Folr created an enterprise level app. Leading this new charge is serial entrepreneur, Josh Konowe, who signed his first deal with SyncDog, Inc. a leading ISV providing enterprise mobility management solutions.

Folr was launched in August 2014 to give real-time information on the whereabouts of family members, significant others and best friends for 30,000 users worldwide. Folr Business will expand on the current platform to be a coordination, tracking and audit tool for companies to keep track of employees (police officers, sales teams, delivery folks, etc).

Making sure that its ideology is carried out, a short while ago, Folr appointed Joshua Konowe, serial entrepreneur with 3 successful exits (Uppidy being his most recent) to take the reigns. Konowe sees major opportunities in the space for businesses and its customers and accepted the challenge to capitalize on it.

Besides being able to track staff movements, the Folr Business app has a few improvements on the regular app. The administrator can communicate messages in-app and receive notifications. Validating demand for its tracking technology, Konowe helped Folr sign its first partnership with SyncDog. SyncDog overcomes BYOD challenges, by giving IT administrators real-time visibility into the service status of every device on the network. This partnership will see SyncDog feature Folr’s GPS infrastructure as a core component of the secure application container for iOS, Android and Windows Mobile.
