Walk to Save Lives at Animals on Broadway May 17

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - March 9, 2015 - PRLog -- WALNUT CREEK, California – March 3, 2015 – Join ARF for Animals on Broadway, a fun-filled, free community festival for people and their pets on Sunday, May 17! Title sponsor Broadway Plaza is undergoing a major expansion and remodel, so they are generously supporting ARF’s move OFF Broadway to Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek for the second year in a row.

The event kicks off with the one-mile fundraising Pet Walk, where hundreds of people and pets will walk to raise awareness and critical funds. This year, ARF is counting on your help to reach a $85,000 goal to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats. It’s easy to register online and create a personalized fundraising webpage to collect donations in support of your pet walk, or form a “pack” of walkers to raise money as a team. Following the walk, fun activities for animal lovers take over the park. Bring the whole family for adoptions, rescue groups, vendor booths, contests, demonstrations, raffle prizes, and a dog wash. The Kid Zone is full of pet-themed activities and games, and the popular Pet Wellness Fair offers an assortment of veterinary services for a small donation.
