Zambrano to Co-Chair the AAJ’s Florida Regional Student Trial Advocacy Competition Fort Lauderdale, FL – Farmer, Jaffe, Weissing, Edwards, Fistos & Lehrman, PA, trial attorney Gabriel F. Zambrano (http:// The STAC competition is a national recognized mock trial competition that AAJ holds annually. There are 14 regional competitions across the country. Sixteen teams are assigned to each of fourteen regions. Only the top team from each region will advance to the National Finals in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on April 16-19, 2015. This year the regional competitions will take place on March 19-22, 2015. We have several law schools from Florida that participate in the competition at the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The winning team will receive complimentary airfare, hotel accommodations, and registration for the 2015 AAJ Annual Convention in Montreal, Canada, July 11 - July 14. In addition, each member of the winning team will receive a $2,000 Stanley Preiser Law Student Award for Trial Advocacy presented by the Melvin M. Belli Society. “It is a honor and privilege to be co-chair again this year,” said attorney Gabriel Zambrano. “It is very important to help further the mission of AAJ and help preserve the right to Trial by Jury. The reward of seeing future trial lawyers begin to hone their courtroom skills is likely nostalgic for any trial lawyer who can remember participating in Moot Court Competitions. It is also an opportunity to bring together members of the Florida Bar from all different locations and practice areas to help serve as volunteer Judges, making it a rewarding and fulfilling experience for everyone and every firm involved.” American Association for Justice seeks to inspire excellence in trial advocacy through training and education for both law students and practicing attorneys. The association accomplishes this goal in part by sponsoring the National Student Trial Advocacy Competition, an annual nationwide mock trial competition. The competition is an exceptional opportunity for law students to develop and practice their trial advocacy skills before distinguished members of the bar and bench.
